When we first got started in the Santa Gertrudis breed 10 years ago, Grandview Farms was one of the first calls we made. This call laid the foundation of much of the DMC herd as Grandview genetics run deep in every pedigree on our place. A lot has changed over the years but one thing that has never faltered is the relationship I have had with the Grandview crew. I could go on and on about the Grandview cattle but the greatest thing I gained was the friendships of Delmo Payne and Brent Shaw. Delmo and Brent invested their time and knowledge into me personally and shared a wealth of experiences and opportunities with me that I would not have had if it had not been for them. The late night texts from Delmo on breeding advice, thoughts on cattle or even life advice were always received with gratitude and were a true

testament to Delmo’s commitment and genuine care for his friends. I am forever thankful for the mentorship and everlasting friendships that I have gained from Delmo Payne and everyone involved Grandview Farms. Enjoy retirement guys!

Throughout the years, we here at Briggs Ranches have had the privilege of getting to know Grandview Farms and their owners Delmo Payne and Family. During this time Delmo has been a true leader not only in the cattle industry but also in business and public service. They have conducted themselves in all the factors to be at the fo refront in today’s cattle industry. Ultra sounding, performance testing, DNA data just to name a few. Several years ago, Delmos great nephew spent the summer with us. He left a lasting impression, one of his favorites saying that made a lasting impression on me, is that life is another adventure.
