Calendar and Events

 Calving ease is important.  The bigger the problem, the harder it is to get in touch with the vet.  It always works better on paper and never as good as the sales rep said it would.  Nothing is more enjoyable than opening the gate to fresh pasture.  Sunrises are beautiful, especially when you have a lot to do. Sunsets are not, if you didn’t get finished.  Good fences and good neighbors are important.  You’ve got to love and have a passion for it and just hope the rest of the family doesn’t hate it. And finally, there will be hard times, times so hard that you will question why you do this. But those thoughts will soon fade and you will realize all the reasons why you do, and what a great life it is, and how truly blessed you are to be entrusted with the care of these wonderful, beautiful creatures. I just wish mom had been along to fix all my bad deals. BW
