Logan Kennedy, Midcontinent Livestock Supple ments representative, spoke about protein fly tubs for fly control and their benefits to herd health. He donated some tubs for door prizes. Following the speakers and lunch, which was provided by the Smith family, the attendees had the opportunity to view cattle at Jay H Farms and visit with other breeders in attendance. “We are truly honored that there was such a good turnout, and we are humbled to see that so many trav eled from all over the country,” Smith says. “A majority
Clydene Pittman, Texas Braunvieh Association, discussed social media opportunities for breeders utilizing a new platform for breed promotion and advertising. Aubrey Pettit, Junior Braunvieh Association of America (JBAA) director, discussed the National Junior Heifer Show and other JBAA updates. Kendall Schlake, Nebraska, gave a very informative presentation on the history of the Braunvieh breed. JBAA members Antonio Munoz and Jalyn Smith hosted a show clinic for the juniors in attendance, including door prizes.
