Welcome to the 28 th Annual Lisco/M Diamond Wyoming Tested Tough Bull Sale. Friendship and a common viewpoint about raising good, functional cattle brought our two families together, but it is the support and belief in our programs from our customers that have kept us going for 28-plus years. We would like to thank those who have supported our programs and welcome those who are attending for the first time. The friendships we have made over the last 28 years are the true treasures of this business. We will again hold the sale at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds Arena in Casper, Wyo. It is a great facility and we are glad to call it home. Plan to be our guests for lunch at 11 a.m., and please stay for the hospitality afterwards. For those of you who would like to haul your bulls home but want to enjoy what Casper has to offer, dolly your trailer down at the fairgrounds and pick up your bulls the following day by noon. Our registered Angus cattle are truly born and bred to thrive under the tough range conditions known to Wyoming. That being so true this year as summer was short and winter came early and continues to hold on. The calves are raised on mama’s milk, grass and lots of Wyoming scenery. Mother Nature is allowed to take its course so we can truly identify those with the “drive to thrive.” With fluctuating markets and ever-changing range and weather conditions, the Angus female is and will always be at the forefront of our breeding programs. We demand our cows utilize the available forage and convert it efficiently in order to breed back on time and bring in a big, healthy calf at weaning. We also place an emphasis on the traits not measured by EPDs – fertility, fleshing ability, mothering ability, udder quality, disposition and structural correctness. The yearling bulls are again being fed in Hemingford, Neb., at the Bolek Feedlot. Gary and Brad do an outstanding job of allowing the bulls to express their genetic potential, yet maintain their functionality and soundness as range bulls. The bulls have also been PAP tested by Dr. Lanny Weddle, and he would be glad to answer any of your questions at 970-723-8314. All bulls in the sale have passed a breeding soundness exam, tested negative for PI BVD, and have been PAP scored. The bulls will be at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds at noon on March 24, 2020, for your inspection prior to the sale. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email.
