How the DV Auction System Works on a Private Treaty BID-OFF This year’s sale format will be an “Online Only” sale with a live close. This means that bidders will be able to preview the lots online with complete information, including their pedigree, EPDs, and a video for several days prior to the sale. During that time, bidders can leave a maximum bid, which the system will represent confidentially in the live close up to that amount. Bidders can also bid incrementally, as the bid advances prior to the close. The leading bid from the online portion will be the starting bid for that lot in the live close. During the live close, the online bidders can watch and bid at either angusauctions.com or dvauction.com . Please register an account prior to sale day if possible. After the close, successful bidders will receive payment and shipping instructions. How the LIVE CLOSE will work If you are on DV Auction bidding from your computer, it will work as usual by bidding on the computer. An auctioneer will have the bid on each lot and the LIVE CLOSE will be conducted at Gordon Livestock Auction in Gordon, Neb. by DV Auction for people wanting to watch it there on a big-screen TV and bid directly to the auctioneer and DV Auction representative. Also, a conference call line will be available for anyone wanting to participate who does not have high-speed internet to purchase cattle. Those bidders will need to register and get a buyer number with Marcy Livestock and Marcy Cattle Company; we will assign one and then they can bid over the phone. SALE DAY CONFERENCE CALL If you are unable to attend the Marcy Livestock and Marcy Cattle Company Fall Female Sale, we have a conference call number set up so you can have access to bid on cattle. 1) IN ADVANCE – Call Marcy Livestock or Marcy Cattle Company to pre-register for your buyer number. 2) PRIOR TO – Before the sale, you will receive an email or call from Marcy Livestock or Marcy Cattle Company with the toll- free conference call number, pin number and instructions on how to bid. 3) SALE DAY – At or during the sale time, you can call the toll-free number and enter your pin number to be placed on the call. At that point, a representative will be on the conference call and will keep you apprised of what female is in the ring and the price being asked. You can bid anytime.
