AAA – Join Today! REGISTRATION • DNA TESTING • CERTIFICATION • MARKETING • RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT • ADVERTISING If you’ve considered joining the American Akaushi Association (AAA) in the past, NOW is the perfect time to make a commitment. Members in good standing as of Sept. 15, 2019, will be included in the annual printed membership directory.

T he American Akaushi Association offers three types of membership – regular, junior and associate – and membership is open to anyone who is interested in Akaushi cattle and the purposes of the association. Beyond inclusion in the membership directory, you may wonder about the actual value of AAA membership. AAA members have the opportunity to take advantage of the various programs and services AAA offers, including registration, DNA testing, certification, marketing, research and development, and advertising. Membership in AAA enables breeders to record and register their Akaushi offspring using the association’s database, DigitalBeef ® . With this database, members can also record performance data to maintain vital information. Through the association’s partnership with GeneSeek ® , members have access to the most accurate and cost-ef- fective DNA processing available. With this service, mem- bers can verify and protect lineages, determine recessive disorders to help make breeding and marketing decisions, and receive feedyard closeouts and carcass information. Members also have the option to certify cattle, which al- lows breeders to sell Akaushi genetics into markets where

certificates are essential. Certifica- tion can also increase the value of a breeder’s Akaushi cattle. AAA offers other programs for members to take advantage of, including the A4 Advantage

and GridMax™ programs. The association also offers members access to its marketing database, CattleLog, which enables members to market Akaushi genetics domestically and internationally. Members can also participate in research and development programs the association is involved with and gain access to valuable information to help improve their bottom lines. Additionally, AAA members receive an annual subscrip- tion to Prime Time , the official publication of the AAA. Members can also advertise in Prime Time , which helps increase visibility of their cattle and the Akaushi breed.
