CATALOG WILL BE POSTED AND AVAILABLE DIGITALLY ONLINE AT www.redalliance.biz and www.CCI.Live Hard copies of catalogs will only be available on sale day in Groesbeck. Inconsistency of bulk mail delivery by the U.S. Postal Service has led us to this decision. Our customers have grown comfortable with this method and we appreciate the acceptance. If you prefer to have a copy of the catalog emailed to you please call or text any member of our team with your email address. We strongly encourage you to utilize our website at www.redalliance.biz for information, photos and other pertinent data. In addition, www.CCI.Live will carry all of our information and videos as they are produced and posted. These are great sources of information for everyone. Welcome! All of us knew last year that we were treading into uncharted territory in the cattle business. We knew it was going to be good, but did we really realize that it was going to be this good? Probably not for most of us. We are not going to overstate the obvious – times are good in the cattle business. Pasture conditions, rain, threat of drought (for some) are still challenges. But fewer cows has boosted calf prices, created more availability for hay and provided pasture recovery for many producers. Our goal is to develop pounds-producing bulls that provide your ranch an opportunity to maximize profitability. They are sound and ready for heavy service. Developed in grass pastures, which separates us from our competitors. Our primary com petitors are great people, have good cattle, but we submit that our cattle compete with the very best in the breed. We knew last year that very few heifers being retained was going to lessen the need, to a certain degree, for calving ease bulls. Some customers made it clear to us that they were looking for bulls with more growth potential in their EPDs. Generally speaking, slightly higher birth weights = higher weaning weights. So, in this offering you will find a fair number of bulls with more growth potential in their EPDs. Come see the bulls in person. The videos are helpful but seeing the bulls in person seals the deal. The ranch where we develop the bulls is 15 minutes north of Sulphur Springs, Texas. We would be happy to show you the bulls in advance of the sale if interested. Last, the bred and open heifers offered are out of stout bulls from highly respected bloodlines and, perhaps more impor tant, cow family lines that have earned their keep for many years in our herds.

The Red Alliance Program The Red Alliance program is built in the same manner as large ranches that utilize Cooperator Herd systems, the only exception being that each of our producers retain their ranch identity (Herd Prefix tattoo). We do not add a master prefix before the cooperator’s prefix. Our members strongly subscribe to the use of artificial insemination, embryo transfer and outstanding herd sires in order to stay on the leading edge of genetic opportunities for our customers. It is the same general philosophy employed by all of the top breeder programs in the U.S. Red Alliance bulls are screened and evaluated multiple times – non-performers are eliminated. We develop the best bulls possible to maximize your profitability!

We love this sale facility. The people are great, the location is in the heart of Texas and it has an excellent restaurant on location. It is without question one of the cleanest and well-maintained cattle sale facilities in Texas. We want to thank Stephen Bradley and other owners of this facility for making our sale a regular part of their schedule for seedstock producers and special replacement female sales. The large seating area is comfortable and, when combined with online bidding through CCI.Live or order buying through the auctioneer or ringmen, there are plenty of excellent options to make your purchases. Red Alliance Bull Development Center We take great pride in our bull development. We also greatly apprecia te Five Counties Ranch for their facilities, pastures and bull develop ment program. Bull development is led by Keith Ogren and his team. They do an absolutely wonderful job. He is supported administratively by Cortney Young, who is equally important to our team. We could not be happier with the service and quality of care they provide. One aspect that we appreciate and that our customers value consi derably is that the way our bulls are handled creates calm demeanors. Year in and year out, the disposition of our bulls starts at home but is further defined by Keith and his team. We cannot thank them enough. Our bulls are developed in large grass pastures on high-quality Bermuda grass or hay, minerals and supplemented gradually at 1.5% of their body weight with a textured feed ration developed by LNC’s profes sional nutritionists. They grow, with an emphasis on growing, not fattening. No bulk feeders. We want to deliver bulls to our customers in a body condition that fully expresses their genetic potential but, most important, ensures they’re ready to hit your pastures in an athletic condition. The Red Alliance Customer Our core customer base is comprised primarily of no-non sense, commercial cattle operations looking for bulls that produce consistent quality in their calf crop that results in weaning weights that lead to profitability. This is the core customer base that we serve and are proud of it! Second, by virtue of the quality in our Red Alliance herd, we also produce bulls that qualify for Red Angus seedstock producers who are looking for that special bull to become their next herd sire. Proud of that also!

Last, we also serve seedstock producers looking to add and enhance their cow herd with high-quality females. All of these females come from excellent sires and dams with proven performance. Buy them with confidence that they will be high performers. There are very few producers in Texas who provide an opportunity to buy females at this age, with a variety of genetics and at reasonable prices in one loca tion. Very happy to serve this customer base as well!

Red Angus Guide to EPDS and Indexes

ProS ... Profitability and Sustainability is an all-purpose index that predicts average economic differences in all segments in the beef supply chain. This index is a combination of the breeding objectives modeled in the HerdBuilder and GridMaster selection indexes. In this index, replacement heifers are retained from within the herd and all remaining progeny are fed out to slaughter and sold on a quality-based grid. Traits included in this index include calving ease, growth, HPG, STAY, Mature Weight, Dry Matter Intake and carcass traits. The resulting index is expressed in dollars per head born (Index/High Value).

HB ..... HerdBuilder is a maternal selection index that predicts the economic differences of animals for traits that are important from conception through weaning. Expressed as dollars per head born, HB is calculated based on the scenario that bulls are mated to heifers and cows, replacement heifers are retained and all remaining progeny are marketed at weaning. Traits included in the HB index include Calving Ease Direct, Calving Ease Maternal, Weaning Weight, Milk, Mature Weight, Heifer Pregnancy and Stayability (Index/High Value).

GM..... GridMaster is a selection index that predicts the average economic difference of non-replacement calves through the post weaning phase of production. GM places selection pressure on growth, feedyard performance and carcass traits. Expressed as dollars per head born, GM is calculated based on the scenario that progeny are fed out to slaughter and marketed on a quality-based carcass grid. Traits included in GM include Average Daily Gain, Carcass Weight, Dry Matter Intake, Marbling, Back Fat and Rib Eye Area (Index/High Value).

CED .......Calving Ease Direct predicts differences in the percent of calves born unassisted out of 2-year-old dams. (Percent/High Value) BW ........Birth Weight predicts differences in actual birth weight of progeny. (Pounds/Low Value) WW .......Weaning Weight predicts differences in 205-day weaning weight. (Pounds/High Value) YW ........Yearling Weight predicts differences in 365-day yearling weight. (Pounds/High Value) ADG .......Average Daily Gain predicts differences in weight gain between 205 and 365 days of age. (Pounds/High Value) DMI .......Dry Matter Intake predicts differences in daily feed intake as measured in a feedlot during the post-weaning period. (Pounds/Low Value) MILK .....Milk predicts differences in weaning weight attributed to the milking ability of the animal’s daughters. (Pounds/High Value) ME ........Maintenance Energy predicts the difference in maintence energy requirements. (Mcal per Month/Low Value) HPG .......Heifer Pregnancy predicts differences in the percent of daughters who are able to conceive and calve at 2 years of age following exposure to breeding. (Percent/High Value)

CEM ......Calving Ease Maternal predicts differences in the percent of daughters who are able to calve unassisted as 2-year-old heifers. (Percent/High Value) STAY ......Stayability predicts differences in the ability of an animals’ retained daughters to remain productive in the herd – calve every year – through 6 years of age. (Percent/High Value) MARB ....Marbling predicts differences in marbling score – amount of intramuscular fat measured at the 13th rib. (Marbling Score Units/High Value) YG .........Yield Grade predicts differences in USDA Yield Grade, which is calculated using CW, REA and Fat. (Yield Grade Units/Low Value) CW ........Carcass Weight predicts differences in actual hot carcass weight. (Pounds/High Value) REA .......Ribeye Area predicts differences in square inches of ribeye area measured at the 13th rib.(Square Inches/High Value) FAT ........Fat predicts differences in the depth of backfat measured between the 12th and 13th ribs. (Inches/Low Value)

AGE-ADVANTAGED RED ANGUS BULLS These bulls are developed in environments that are the same as what they will experience in your pastures: hot, dry summers; cold winters; wind-driven rain, sleet, ice; and all on grass pastures. Just like what you have on your ranches. Our photos represent the bulls in their working clothes. Due to extreme high heat recently we have minimized handling of the bulls for their sake and ours. All photos and videos were taken in the heat of August. Videos will be posted online at www.redalliance.biz and at www.CCI.Live . While we appreciate every one’s interest in photos and videos, nothing replaces seeing the cattle live and in person. You will note throughout the catalog that we often group bulls in the sale order by bulls that sired them. Many of our customers like to buy half-brothers for the sake of maximizing the consistency of their calf crop. We hope that this practice is helpful on sale day.

We had a tough time deciding between K36 and K39 as a lead-off bull. They are both coming 2-year-olds and are sired by Fullback. They are stout, soggy bulls with tons of muscle and middle. If you are a multi-bull buying commercial producer on sale day, you won’t go wrong by buying these two bulls back to back. Since their EPD profiles are very similar, we decided to write just one footnote. Both have modest actual birthweights and middle-of-the-road BW EPDs. They simply outperform all of their other numbers. They will impress you most when you see them live and in person! It won’t be hard to imagine the extra weight they will add to your calf crops. 5RF has a pedigree that is stacked with some of the top bulls in the breed with Fusion, Hard Drive, Wide Load and Out In Front in his pedigree. The dam is a Pelton Wideload daughter that is very stylish. She was a hand picked selection from the Jerry Jefferies dispersal sale. 5RF has 9 EPDs in the top 33% of the breed. This potential herd sire is very attractive and an excellent choice for development of herd bulls or very high-quality replacement females. Lot 3

We call him Real Deal for a reason! Everything is stacked for greatness in this prospect. His sire, Incredibow 8114, has been nothing short of lightning in a bottle, and was sired by the highly regarded Feddes Silver Bow. He is well known for his calving-ease track record. Real Deal’s dam was sired Epic Results and was a Red Alliance high seller that proved his worth on his progeny. The dam and granddam are phenotypically beautiful. Expect Real Deal to bring low birthweights to the calves he will produce with his 13 CED and -2.5 BW EPDs. His index EPDs are all in the top 30% of the breed or better.

Storm’s Brewin when paired with the great Glacier Logan dam from the Della cow has produced perhaps one of the most interesting pedigrees in this sale. Greatness stacked on top of greatness. Take a look at the index EPDs for Pro S and HB, in the top 11 and 10% with Gridmaster in the top 33%. Tack on to those measurements with WW at top 27% and YW at top 23%. If you believe in EPDs, this type of performance is hard to beat. One look at him live and in person seals the deal. Two more Fullback sons back to back with K42 and K33. Both are larger frame, stout-made bulls that very much represent what their sire has produced. Both offer birthweights that are more than acceptable for use on mature cows. Their dams are long-time high producers of high-quality cattle. When you view these two bulls, it is not hard to imagine the consistency they will bring to your calves at weaning time.

Strong and powerful – there’s no other way to describe L703. His sire, KJL Domain 0102H, truly passed along the very best of his phenotypic traits – large frame, length, heavy muscling, strong top, smooth moving and a great set of EPDs. Combining Domain with a beautiful 5L Independence 560-298Y dam produced special results with this prospect. Independence has been one of the most highly used AI sires in the breed for years and for darn good reason – L703 is proof. Watch his video, but more important, come see him on sale day. He is the pure, raw definition of a power and growth bull with a high degree of carcass quality with his marbling. Is he good enough to be a seedstock herd sire? You decide.

LOTS 21-23 We had a very difficult time deciding who was the best of these three bulls – all sired by Gilchrist Storms Brewin. Each one had outstanding dams that were out of breed greats such as Badlands Opportunity 53Y, 3J One of A Kind 228 and Gilchrist High Endurance. It was an excellent pairing for each of these three bulls. They are very similar to each other phenotypically with a ton of eye appeal. Storm was incredible before we lost him due to a stifle injury. He was massive in his muscle expression, as long as they come on a 6.25 frame and gentle as a puppy with a great set of EPDs. He was a very special bull. His female off spring are staying on the ranch! All three of these prospects should be considered as seedstock prospects.

The next three bulls are about as uniform as you can find and out of the same sire. This is another opportunity for multiple bull buyers who want to produce as much consistency as possible with their calf crop. The three dams in each one of these lots are solid producers, very attractive cattle and have gentle disposi tions. All three have reasonable actual birth weights, balanced EPDs and excellent performance while going through our carefully measured development program. While they will work well as terminal sires, we believe they would be excellent for replacement female production. Since both of these studs are sired by Incredibow and their EPDs are closely aligned, we are combining this note. What both of them offer are reasonable actual birth weights, Pro S, HerdBuilder and Gridmaster values that are very consistent and at the top of breed performance. Consider those values and then take a close look at their WW and YW in breed percentages – both in the top one-third of the breed. They provide excellent phenotype and the numbers to back it up. One more opportu nity for multi-bull buyers on sale day.

INCREDIBOW 8114 Sire of Lots 29 & 30. Service sire to commercial bred heifers.
