CALVING EASE BULLS We often have customers request that we group our calving ease bulls into one section vs. scattering them through the sale order. Bulls of this type are always highly valued and sought for a wide variety of reasons and individual needs. The following group of bulls have been carefully evaluated and grouped accordingly. In our opinion, based on available metrics, this group of bulls has a high probability for calving ease, based on multiple supporting factors. In the footnotes below, we will not point out calving ease traits and simply reference it in this message. We encourage you to apply your knowledge of actual data, EPDs and cattleman’s experience to determine if these bulls fit your definition of calving ease. In particular, we encourage you to review actual birthweight and EPDs for CED (Calving Ease Direct) and BW. Proven genetics play a factor as well, but the data and your experience should be your true measure.
