Profit starts with a live calf, so the addition of fertility EPDs in the form of Heifer Pregnancy and Breed Back allow breeders to keep pressure on the most important driver of a successful cowherd. Combining this focus on fertility with performance, growth and an aggressive approach placed on carcass quality positions Santa Gertrudis cattle as the progressive choice in Bos indicus genetics. SGBI also launched three new indexes – Cow/Calf, Terminal and Balanced.
