tion and using the latest technology are high priorities for the Rempes. All of their steers are fed at Lincoln County Feed Yard, and the heifers get ultra-sounded. This means that every animal has carcass data turned into the system each year. Materially, all their cows have udder, disposition & phenotype scores, and are weighed annually. Rempe Farms has an extensive AI and ET program that is primarily focused on high $Profit Red Stabilizers. Along with managing the breeding program for Rempe Farms, Sam Rempe also manages the Elite Semen Cooperative for LCoC. and their family first attended the Leachman sale in 1987 where they purchased their first 7 Leachman heifers. Since then they have grown the herd to 200 mother cows consisting of Regis- tered Red Angus and Stabilizers. The Mathews also have a feed yard, hay, and cash grain business Their mission statement is to produce structurally sound and high-performance cattle. RGR – Marc and Debbie Rieger (Stabilizer) 1973, with Pioneer Hybrid International, when they wanted to start in the cattle business by developing a hybrid line of cattle. It was called RX3, a red blend of 3 breeds of cattle. Robert and Betty Rieger purchased the ranch in 1954. Marc was the 5th child of 6 and the first to be born on this ranch. Maybe it was meant to be that Debra and I took the place over and have made it our home ever since Marc and Debra took ownership in 1990. We have enjoyed watching the genetic improvement with our cattle, thanks to the Leachman program. Our son, John’s, foundation herd should have a great start, he has taken embryos from our best cows and mated them to some of LCoC’s best bulls. He and his wife, Teressa, have also added some acreage to the operation. John helps with both physical work and the intellectual opera - tions of ranch. We also do get help on the big days of working cattle from John’s wife, Teresa, and girls, Taylor and Trinity. Springfield, Ohio. They started with purebred Gelbvieh cattle and began purchasing Leach - man angus and stabilizer bulls several years ago to increase carcass quality. With a large portion of the calves going to feedlots it is important the cattle performed well for the feeders. Today the focus of the cow herd is to maintain Kurt and Susie Stranberg along with their son, Kyle, operate a small, yet elite herd of South Devon influenced cattle.
